रोहिणी सेक्टर -24 में शहीद भगत सिंह की जयंती पर जय जवान फ्रैंड्स क्लब द्वारा एक विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जिसमें सैंकड़ों लोगों ने शहीदेआज़म भगत सिंह को श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किये।
बात देशभक्ति और शहीदों को याद करने की हो----- तो , जय जवान फ्रैंड्स क्लब इस मुहीम में सबसे आगे दीखता है।
संस्थापक संजय डबास ने दिल्ली देहात और रोहिणी क्षेत्र के लोगों का स्वागत किया। इस अवसर पर स्थानीय निगम पार्षद और कई स्थानीय नेताओं ने भी शिरकत की और शहीद भगत सिंह को श्रद्धांजलि दी।
इस कार्यक्रम में महिलाओं की सहभागिता भी कम नहीं थी। ये सभी यहाँ शहीद भगत सिंह के जन्मदिवस पर उनको श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिये एकत्रित हुए थे।
शहीद भगत सिंह को याद करते हुए कई बुद्धिजीवियों और कवी ने भी इस मौके पर अपने विचार रखे।
जय जवान फ्रैंड्स क्लब के सदस्य शहीदों की याद में साल भर इस तरह कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन करते रहते हैं।
रोहिणी के सेक्टर -24 स्थित इस पार्क का नामकरण शहीदेआजम के नाम पर करने का श्रेय भी जय जवान फ्रैंड्स क्लब के प्रयासों को ही जाता है। अपने तमाम व्यस्तताओं से समय निकाल कर इस क्लब के सदस्य लोगों में शहीदों के प्रति सम्मान और देशभक्ति का जज़्बा भरने का काम करते हैं।

रोहिणी के टेक्निया ऑडिटोरियम में ' करुणा दी कम्पैशन ' के वार्षिक आयोजन ' करुणा अवार्ड ' की ये तसवीरें 'करुणा ' के नाम को सार्थक कर रही है ---किसी ने सांस्कृतिक कार्यकर्म की प्रस्तुति से शमां बांधा तो किसी ने अपने बहदुरी के कारनामे प्रस्तुत किये --( शॉट्स --) ---जिम के बॉडी बिल्डर ने भी अपना बल दिखया ---तो दिल्ली पुलिस से आत्म रक्षा के गुर सिख चुकी लड़कियों ने अपने हुनर दिखाए --( शॉट्स --) इन सबसे अलग जब दिव्यांग बच्चों का रैम वॉक भी देखने लायक था --इस मंच पर इनकी मौजूदगी इन दिव्यांगों के लिए एक सुखद अहसास थी वहीँ मशहूर सिने सेलेब्रेटी 'मन्न की बिलिंग ' आकर्षण का केंद्र थी --- करुणा के इस वार्षिक आयोजन में इन प्रतिभाओं को प्रोत्साहित करने प्रमुख राजनैतिक और प्रशासनिक लोग ही नहीं पहुंचे बल्कि रोहिणी के प्रमुख समाजसेवी भी बड़ी तादाद में नजर आये --इनमें दिल्ली पुलिस के आला अधिकारी भी मौजूद थे
