Under fire over the alleged sexual assault case, Tehelka Managaing Editor Shoma Chaudhury on Friday said she is not defending anyone and a committee has been formed to look into the charges against the magazine's Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal. Refuting charges of a cover-up, Chaudhury said that Tejpal was in the country and had a different version of the alleged incident which reportedly took place during the magazine's 'Think' Festival in Goa two weeks ago.
Shoma said, 'It was an institutional response that she was wanting and so I did. Now that she was not satisfied with the action, a committee has been formed to look into it.'.

The bench has also lifted the stay of the trial which means it will now recommence in a Goa court. The Apex Court has also mentioned that the trial in the case is to be concluded in a period of six months.
