The star of the recently wrapped show, Desperate Housewives took to the red carpet in an absolutely stunning gown by Marchesa.

The mermaid gown hugged Longoria in all the right places showing off her svelte figure.

Marchesa dresses are known for their intricate detailing and Eva's dress for Cannes was no exception.

The main body of the dress was detailed with gorgeous silver and diamond pieces all over giving the star the glamour she needed for a festival of this caliber.

High fashion is necessary at Cannes as we all know—and the elaborate tulle train literally stunned on the red carpet—it was absolutely breath taking and Eva pulled it off exceptionally.

The back of the dress was complete with a sheer cutaway in the back giving the dress a little bit of sexy elegance.

For her hair—Eva went with a messy, but still classy updo with extensive volume at the crown.

And her makeup looked flawless per the usual—and she really chose to turn up the drama with a dark smokey eye.But what made this so special was the hint of silver in the shadow that really tied the whole thing into the dress.

She paired her dark eyes with a shiny pink lip with a touch of light brown liner and carried a jeweled Marchesa clutch to finish off her first Cann.
