German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched two new cars to further strengthen its product portfolio in India. The C300 Cabriolet and the S500 Cabriolet are both equipped with foldaway soft-tops. The C300 convertible is priced at Rs 60 lakh, while the bigger S500 soft-top has a list price of Rs 2.25cr (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). With these two cars, Mercedes-Benz now has four variants under its C-Class nameplate and three variants under its S-Class badge. Apart from the two-door set-up, foldaway soft-top and redesigned taillights, the C300 Cabriolet is identical in dimensions to the rest of the C-Class variants on offer in India. The stand-out feature is, of course, the soft-top roof which can be folded away in just 20 seconds at speeds up to 50kmph.
