भगत सिंह और उनके साथियों को लाहौर जेल में 23 मार्च 1931 को फांसी दी गई थी। शादमान चौक उसी स्थान पर बना हुआ है। लाहौर उच्च न्यायालय ने भगत सिंह मेमोरियल फाउंडेशन के अध्यक्ष इम्तियाज राशिद कुरैशी की याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए यह आदेश पारित किया।
