One of the greatest sportsman ever, Billie Jean Moffitt King is more than a tennis player. She broke down barriers in her push for equal prize money for women and as one of the first openly gay athletes. She has won a series of the 37 Grand Slam, including 12 singles, 14 doubles, and 11 mixed doubles titles. She is best known for her 1973 “Battle of the Sexes” match against Bobby Riggs, in which she beat the former No. 1 ranked player, a self-proclaimed male chauvinist.
