Text of speech of Rahul Gandhi addressing the rally: -

I feel happy to be here with you but sad too as a great leader like Sisa Ram Ola is not with us today. He was a good leader and Jhunjhunu was his karmbhoomi. I had a good relation with him and whenever we meet, he used to talk about this place. He always fought for you.

Congress wants to work for all sections -- the poor, farmers, weak and the downtrodden. There is big difference between us and the BJP. While we want development for all people without any discrimination, BJP wants it for only a selected group.

In the past 10 years of UPA rule at the Centre, about 15 crore people were freed from poverty. It is not a small achievement. We realise that if we need overall development, entire people must have a voice in the system. Congress never supports any policies which are aimed at development of a handful of people.

We launched a scheme to provide free medicines for the poor. But is the present BJP government is implementing it? No. Congress works for all; unites the people. But BJP works for elite and rich..
