ચાલતી કાર સળગી જવાના કિસ્સાઓ અવારનવાર બને છે ત્યારે સુરતમાં ચાલતી કાર સળગવાનો વધુ એક કિસ્સો પ્રકાશમાં આવ્યો છે. સમગ્ર ઘટનાની મળતી વિગતો અનુસાર વાત કરવામાં આવે તો સુરતના પૂણા ગામ વિસ્તારમાં આવેલા બોરડા ફાર્મ પાસે એક લાલ કલરની ઇન્ડીગો કારમાં અચાનક આગ ભભૂકી ઊઠી હતી. કાર ચાલક પોતાના કામકાજ અર્થે મોટા વરાછા વિસ્તારમાં જઈ રહ્યો હતો તે દરમિયાના કાર પૂણા ગામના બોરડા ફાર્મ પાસે પહોંચતા કારના બોનેટમાંથી એકાએક ધુમાડા નીકળવા લાગ્યા હતા. ચાલૂ કારમાં ધૂમાડો નીકળવાના કારણે કાર ચાલકે કારને રસ્તાની સાઈડમાં ઊભી રાખીને કાર ચાલક કારમાંથી ઉતરી ગયો હતો.
કારમાંથી નીકળતા ધૂમાડાએ ધીમે ધીમે આગનું સ્વરૂપ ધારણ કરી લીધું હતું. આગ જોત જોતમાં વિકરાળ બની હતી. સ્થાનિક લોકોએ આ ઘટનાની જાણ ફાયર વિભાગને કરતા ગણતરીની મિનિટોમાં ફાયરનો કાફલો ઘટના સ્થળે પહોંચ્યો હતો અને કારમાં લાગેલી આગ પર પાણીનો મારો ચલાવી આગ પર કાબૂ મેળવી લીધો હતો. સદનસીબે આ ઘટનામાં કોઈ પણ જાનહાનિ થવા પામી નથી..
