Congress Vice President, Shri Rahul Gandhi addressed a mammoth election rally in Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh, which goes to polls in three days' time.

Shri Gandhi explained the Madhya Pradesh had different norms for different people. He said when a rich man's land was acquired by the government; he was paid compensation as per the prevalent market rate. But when a poor man's land was acquired, no one ever bothered to seek his consent.

The Congress Vice President said the Congress-led UPA government has brought a new legislation for land acquisition which would ensure even the poorest man would be paid four times the market rate as compensation when his and was acquired by the government.
