तुर्की राष्ट्रपति रजब तय्यब एर्दोगान ने यूरोप की सबसे बड़ी मस्जिद का उद्घाटन किया है।  आपको बता दें की यह मस्जिद तुर्की इस्लामिक ग्रुप के सहयोग से जर्मनी में बनाई गयी है। एर्दोगान ने यह उद्घाटन अपने जर्मन दौरे के दौरान किया। इस मस्जिद को फूल की कली की तरह बनाया है और यह दिखने में एक दम फूल की कली जैसी लगती है।

बीबीसी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, उन्होंने कहा कि कोलोन में मस्जिद शांति के प्रतीक के रूप में बनाई गयी है , इस मस्जिद के बनने पर और एर्दोगान के आने पर विरोध भी बहुत हो रहे थे, और विरोध प्रदर्शन के बावजूद इसके निर्माण के साथ आगे बढ़ने के लिए एर्दोगान ने और मुसलमानों ने जर्मन सरकार का शुक्रिया अदा किया।
