Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Singh's Father, Compares MS Dhoni To Ravana.
Upset that his son was left out of the Indian World Cup squad, cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh on Monday let loose an angry tirade against skipper MS Dhoni, comparing him to mythical demon king Ravana.
Speaking to a Hindi news channel, Yograj slammed Dhoni for 'laughing at the media'.
'There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips them off. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype. He laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run. Honestly, if I were a mediaperson, I would have slapped Dhoni right there,' he said.
Blaming Dhoni for India's loss in the World Cup semi-finals against Australia, Yograj said, 'In the 2011 final, Yuvraj was going to bat but Dhoni stopped him and went to bat and became a hero. Why didn't he bat at No 4 this time? Why did he go at No 6? If he considers himself this great, then he should have batted at No 6 and guided India to a win against Australia.'
Yuvraj who won the Man Of The Series award in the 2011 World Cup, was one of the five cricketers who was left out by the selectors this year.
Seething visibly, Yograj then went on to compare Dhoni to Ravana. 'Dhoni is arrogant. The way Ravana's pride came to an end, Dhoni will also suffer some day. I have never seen a terr.
