ദീര്‍ഘദൂര ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍നിന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷം 1.95 ലക്ഷം ടവലുകളും 81,736 ബെഡ് ഷീറ്റുകളും 55,573 തലയിണ കവറുകളും 5,038 തലയിണകളും 7,043 ബ്ലാങ്കറ്റുകളും മോഷ്ടിച്ചതായി റെയില്‍വേയുടെ കണക്കുകള്‍. എന്നാല്‍ ഈവര്‍ഷം ഏപ്രില്‍ മുതല്‍ സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍വരെ ശരാശരി 62 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ വസ്തുക്കള്‍ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതായി സെന്‍ട്രല്‍ റെയില്‍വെ അധികൃതര്‍ പറയുന്നു. 79,350 ടവലുകള്‍, 25,545 ബെഡ്ഷീറ്റുകള്‍, 21,050 തലയിണ കവറുകള്‍, 2,150 തലയിണകള്‍, 2,065 ബ്ലാങ്കറ്റുകള്‍ എന്നിവയാണ് മോഷണം പോയത്. എസി കോച്ചുകളില്‍ സൗജന്യമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ കൊടുക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളാണ് യാത്രക്കാര്‍ അടിച്ചുമാറ്റുന്നത്മോഷണംമൂലം കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്ന് സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷങ്ങളിലായി റെയില്‍വെയ്ക്ക് 4000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ നഷ്ടമുണ്ടായതായാണ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം തേജസ് എക്‌സ്പ്രസിലെ ശൗചാലയങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് 1,185 യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ജാഗ്വര്‍ ബ്രാന്‍ഡിലുള്ള ബാത്ത്‌റൂം ഫിറ്റിങുകള്‍ അടിച്ചുമാറ്റിയിരുന്നു.
