Police arrested megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar Jr. on simple battery charges in Fayette County on Friday.
Channel 2's Tom Jones learned that Dollar was booked into the county jail at 2 a.m. A judge set Dollar's bond at $5,000 during a morning hearing.
Deputies arrested Dollar at his home after receiving a 911 call from Dollar's 15-year-old daughter. She said her father attacked her after an argument about the girl attending a party.
A witness told authorities that Dollar grabbed the girl around her throat and choked her causing a scratch on her neck, according to Fayette County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Brent Rowan.
'Discipline my kid. Love 'em,' Dollar said as he was leaving jail Friday morning. He told Jones he had no comment for his congregation.
Dollar's bond conditions did not prohibit him from being near his daughter, Jones reported.
Dollar is the founder and senior pastor of World Changers Church in College Park. The church has nearly 30,000 members and includes satellite campuses in 10 cities. Dollar's weekly services are broadcast across the country.

World Changers Church International Pastor Creflo Dollar was arrested at his home Friday shortly after midnight on charges of simple battery and cruelty to children after Fayette County deputies responded to his north Fayette County residence on a domestic disturbance call. The arrest came after Dollar's 15-year-old daughter and a witness told deputies that her father physically assaulted her.
Fayette County Sheriff's spokesman Brent Rowan said deputies responded to the Dollar residence on Sandy Creek Road at approximately 1 a.m. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon their arrival, deputies interviewed Dollar's 15-year-old daughter who said she and her father had been in an argument over her attending an upcoming party, Rowan said.
Deputies also interviewed a witness to the disturbance, Rowan added.

Deputies at the scene were told that the argument turned physical, with Dollar found to be the primary aggressor, said Rowan. The 15-year-old suffered superficial injuries and did not require medical treatment, Rowan said.
According to reports, the 15-year-old daughter told investigators that she went to the kitchen and began crying after being told she could not go to the party. Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar is expected to preach on Sunday, in spite of a physical fight with his daughter that led to his arrest, his attorney said.
Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at Dollar's Atlanta home around 1 a.m. Friday after they received a domestic violence call from the pastor's 15-year-old daughter, authorities said.
The fight over whether the daughter could attend a party turned physical, authorities said.
A witness told deputies Dollar, 50, grabbed his daughter by her throat and choked her, causing a scratch on her neck, ABC News' Atlanta affiliate WSB reported.
Dollar faces misdemeanor charges of simple battery and cruelty to children. He posted a $5,000 bond and was released Friday morning.
In a statement issued through his attorney to the Associated Press, Dollar said he would never physically harm his children.
'The facts in this case will be handled privately to further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and continued support,' he said.
Dollar and his wife, Taffi, have five children.

(AP) COLLEGE PARK, Georgia - A prominent megachurch pastor staunchly denied Sunday that he punched and choked his 15-year-old daughter in an argument, telling his congregation the allegations made in a police report are nothing but 'exaggeration and sensationalism.'
'I will say this emphatically: I should have never been arrested,' pastor Creflo Dollar said in his first public appearance two days after police charged him with misdemeanor counts of simple battery and cruelty to children.
The pastor got an enthusiastic ovation from the packed church as he took the pulpit Sunday at the World Changers Church International in an Atlanta suburb. He addressed the criminal charges head-on for several minutes before moving on to his sermon.
'I want you all to hear personally from me that all is well in the Dollar household,' Dollar said.
The 50-year-old Dollar is one of the most prominent African-American preachers based around Atlanta, with 30,000 members in the Atlanta area and a ministry of satellite churches across the U.S.
