Following India's exit from the Women's World T20 in West Indies




Controversies surrounded the Women's ODI captain Mithali Raj and the coach Ramesh Powar




Ramesh Powar who is a familar name to us due to his short stint in the men's team




accused Mithali's poor performance as the reason of her absence in semis


In the tournament, Mithali scored half centuries in both the innings she played and bagged the PLAYER OFR THE MATCH AWARD ON BOTH THE OCCASIONS




Puzzled and disappointed Mithali accused Ramesh Powar for being unfair to her on several occasions




As per the 35-yo batter, Powar used to belittle her in the net practice and it was his grudges that cost her the lost chance of playing in the semis

In her letter to BCCI, she showed her discontent that after serving the nation for 20 long years she was not expecting to be treated like this


In defense, Powar blamed Mithali for being disrespectful and that she threatened to go back home if she doesn't get to play as an opener - to why mithali was still there till the last match

Powar also accused her of not having the fitness and skill level that was required for the competition.
