आक्रोशित किसानों ने जन समस्याओं की मांग को लेकर ब्लॉक पर आमरण अनशन प्रारम्भ कर दिया है। उत्तर प्रदेश भारतीय किसान यूनियन के बैनर तले सरकार के नुमाइंदों द्वारा फर्जी रिपोर्ट लगाए जाने को लेकर प्रदेश महासचिव आठ दिनों से धरना प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे, लेकिन जिला प्रशासन द्वारा किसी भी तरह की बातचीत न किये जाने पर प्रदेश महासचिव डी एन एस त्यागी और मंडल अध्यक्ष उदय नारायण पाठक ने आमरण अनशन शुरू कर दिया। प्रदेश महासचिव ने कहा कि यदि भ्रष्टाचार में संलिप्त ब्लॉक् कर्मचारियों के खिलाफ कार्यवाही न की जाएगी तब तक यह आमरण अनशन जारी रहेगाग। किसी भी प्रकार की अप्रिय घटना हुई तो जिम्मेदारी जिला प्रशासन की होगी।
