हाल ही में जमानत पर रिहा हुए बाहुबली और पूर्व आरजेडी सांसद मोहम्मद शहाबुद्दीन को राहत मिली है। होई कोर्ट से शहाबुद्दीन को मिली जमानत पर अंतरिम रोक लगाने पर फिलहाल सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने साफ़ इनकार कर दिया है।..
...दायर याचिका पर शहाबुद्दीन का पक्ष जानने के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शहाबुद्दीन को नोटिस किया है और मामले की अगली सुनवाई 26 सितंबर को दी गई है। 11 साल बाद जेल से रिहा हुए शहाबुद्दीन की जमानत रद्द करने के लिए बिहार सरकार और सीवान निवासी चंद्रकेश्वर प्रसाद की ओर से प्रशांत भूषण ने याचिका दायर की थी। दाखिल याचिका में हाईकोर्ट की ओर से दी गई जमानत को कानून का मज़ाक बताया है, क्योंकि हत्या के मामले में अभी तक गवाहों के बयान भी दर्ज नहीं हुए हैं। साथ ही हाईकोर्ट ने इस तथ्य को भी अनदेखा कर दिया कि शहाबुद्दीन पर 13 मई 2016 को सिवान में पत्रकार राजदेव रंजन की हत्या का भी आरोप है। हालांकि खुद को कानून और न्यायपालिका का सम्मान करने वाला इंसान बताने वाले शहाबुद्दीन ने कहा कि अगर सुप्रीम कोर्ट उनकी जमानत रद्द करता है, तो वो जेल जाने को तैयार हैं।
