अब महिलाएं भी हाजी अली दरगाह में प्रवेश कर सकेंगी...जी हां, महिलाओं को हाजी अली दरगाह के अंदरूनी हिस्से तक जाने की इजाज़त मिल गई है. बॉम्बे हाइकोर्ट ने 2012 से महिलाओं के जाने पर लगी पाबंदी को असंवैधानिक बताते हुए हटा लिया है. हाईकोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार से दरगाह जाने वाली महिलाओं को सुरक्षा मुहैया कराने को कहा है. 2011 तक महिलाओं के प्रवेश पर यहां कोई पांबदी नहीं थी. लेकिन 2012 में दरगाह मैनेजमेंट ने यह कहते हुए महिलाओं की एंट्री पर रोक लगा दी थी कि शरिया कानून के मुताबिक, महिलाओं का कब्रों पर जाना गैर-इस्लामी है. ट्रस्ट इस मामले पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अपील करेगा, इसके लिए कोर्ट ने छह हफ्ते का समय दिया है, इसलिए आज आए फैसले को छह हफ्ते तक के लिए रोक कर रखा गया है...वहीं इस मामसे में भूमाता ब्रिगेड की तृप्ति देसाई ने कहा कोर्ट के फैसले का स्वागत किया है..उन्होंने कहा कि कि हमारे संवैधानिक अधिकारों को छीना जा रहा था...
तो 4 साल की लड़ाई के बाद आज महिलाओं को उनका संवैधानिक अधिकार मिल गया है...अब महिलाएं भी 15वीं सदी के पीर हाजी अली की मज़ार तक जा सकेंगी।

5 साल के लंबे इंतजार के बाद आखिरकार हाजी अली दरगाह की मुख्य मजार के दर्शन के लिए महिलाओं को एंट्री मिल गई हैं। देशभर की 80 महिलाओं ने दरगाह पर चादर चढ़ाई और जियारत की। लंबी कानूनी कार्यवाही के बाद सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह आदेश सुनाया था कि महिलाएं भी मुख्य मज़ार की जियारत कर सकती हैं। आज भारतीय मुस्लिम महिला आंदोलन की महिलाएं पहली बार इस दरगाह में प्रवेश कर रहीं है। आपको बता दें 2 साल पहले भारतीय मुस्लिम महिला आंदोलन ने दरगाह के मुख्य हिस्से में महिलाओं के प्रवेश पर लगे प्रतिबंध को चुनौती दी थी। 24 अक्टूबर को सुप्रीम कोर्ट की ओर से दरगाह में पुरुषों की ही तरह महिलाओं को भी प्रवेश की अनुमति देने का फैसला सुनाए जाने के बाद, हाजी अली दरगाह ट्रस्ट ने अदालती फैसले को मानने की घोषणा की। इस बदलाव को लागू करने के लिए ट्रस्ट ने अदालत से 4 हफ्ते का समय मांगा था, ताकि वह दरगाह में जरूरी प्रबंध कर सके। साथ ही आपको यह भी बता दें कि 2011 तक हाजी अली में स्थित मजार के पास महिलाओं को जाने की अनुमति थी... लेकिन 2012 में दरगाह ट्रस्ट ने महिलाओं के प्रवेश पर शरियत का हवाला देकर रोक लगा दी थी। उसके बाद से ही BMMA संस्था की महिलाएं हाजी अली में महिलाओं के प्रवेश के हक के लिए आवाज़ उठा रहीं हैं। शनि शिंगणापुर में प्रवेश का हक लेने वाली भूमाता ब्रिगेड की प्रमुख तृप्ति देसाई भी इस आंदोलन में BMMA के साथ खड़ी थीं।
