बीएसपी सुप्रीमो मायावती ने अपनी पार्टी के खाते में 104 करोड़ आने और अपने भाई के खाते में 1 करोड़ 43 लाख रुपये आने के मामले में सफाई दी है. उन्होंने कहा कि ये पार्टी का पैसा है .एक-एक रुपया नियमों के हिसाब से जमा कराया गया है. पैसा देश की जनता का है. पैसा देशभर में पार्टी के सदस्यता अभियान से इकट्ठा किया गया है. यहां मायावती ने बीजेपी पर आरोप लगाया कि यह सब बीएसपी को बदनाम करने की कोशिश हो रही है. बीजेपी तोड़ मरोड़ कर तथ्यों को पेश कर रही है. उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी हमसे डरी हुई है...मैने सपा-कांग्रेस गठबंधन को लेकर बीजेपी पर जो आरोप लगाए..उससे बीजेपी घबरा गई और हमारे खिलाफ ये कार्रवाई की गई... मायावती ने कहा कि यह सब जातिवादी सोच का असर है. क्योंकि दूसरी पार्टियों ने भी पैसा जमा कराया है.

नोटंबदी के चलते आयकर विभाग ने महिंद्रा बैंक के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की है। फर्जी तरीके से नोट बदलने के आरोप में ईडी ने कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक के प्रबंधक आशीष कुमार को गिरफ्तार किया है। दरअसल यह गिरफ्तारी उस मामले से जुड़ी है, जिसमें 9 फर्जी बैंक खातों में करीब 34 करोड़ रुपये जमा होने की बात सामने आई थी। जिसके बाद जांच में सामने आया कि कस्तू रबा गांधी स्थित ब्रांच में गैर कानूनी रूप से पुराने नोटों को बदलने का काम हो रहा है.. इसके साथ ही आरोपी आशीष पर पारसलम लोढ़ा और रोहित टंडन की मदद करने का भी आरोप है। हालांकि बैंक की ओर से दी गई सफाई में कहा गया है कि बैंक ने पहले ही आशीष कुमार को सस्पें ड कर दिया था और जांच एजेंसियों को हर वो जानकारी मुहैया कर दी थी , जिसकी उनको दरकार थी।

500 रुपए के पुराने नोट आज से पेट्रोल पम्पों, एयर टिकटों की बुकिंग और टोल नाकों पर नहीं लिए जाएंगे, क्योंकि इन जगहों पर मिलने वाली छूट आज से खत्म हो गई है. हालांकि सरकारी अस्पतालों और दवा दुकानों समेत पूर्व निर्धारित स्थानों पर 15 दिसंबर तक 500 रूपए के पुराने नोट इस्तेमाल किए जा सकेंगे..दरअसल पेट्रोल पंपों पर कमीशन लेकर पुराने नोटों की जगह नए नोट दिए जाने की आशंका के मद्देनज़र वित्त मंत्रालय ने ये फैसला लिया...वहीं खुल्ले पैसों की परेशानी के मद्देनज़र सरकार ने 2 दिसंबर की आधी रात कर टोल नाकों को फ्री कर दिया था..जिसकी मियाद खत्म हो गई है..और अब कल आधी रात से टोल नाकों पर शुल्क लिया जाने लगा है.इससे खुल्ले रुपयों के कमी के चलते अब टोल नाकों पर जाम लगने की तस्वीरें सामने आ रही हैं... मुंबई के मुलुंड टोल प्लाजा पर रात 12 बजे के बाद गाड़ियों की लंबी लाइन देखी गई, वहीं ऐसी ही तस्वीर दिल्ली-जयपुर हाइवे पर भी देखने को मिली. ज्यादातर लोग आज से टोल पर 500 रुपए के नोट नहीं लेने की बात से भी अनजान दिखे...हालांकि लोगों की परेशानी को देखते हुए सरकार की तरफ खास इंतज़ाम किए जाने की बात कही जा रही है...जिसके तहत नई स्वाइप मशीनें टोल नाकों पर पहुंचाई गई हैं. इसके अलावा सभी टोल नाकों पर डेबिट क्रेडिट कार्ड और पेटीएम जैसे ई वॉलेट से भी टोल टैक्स का भुगतान किया जा सकता है. आपको बता दें कि देशभर में नेशनल हाइवे पर कुल 367 टोल प्लाजा हैं
