....दरअसल प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में हुई केंद्रीय बैठक में ज़ाकिर नाइक के एनजीओ इस्लामिक रिसर्च फाउंडेशन पर पांच साल के लिए प्रतिबंध लगाने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी गई है। गृह मंत्रालय की ओर से जल्द ही इस बाबत एक अधिसूचना जारी कर दी जाएगी। अधिकारियों की मानें तो गृह मंत्रालय की छानबीन में यह पता चला है कि ज़ाकिर की एनजीओ के ‘पीस टीवी’ के साथ रिश्ते हैं, जिस पर आतंकवाद फैलाने का आरोप है। ‘पीस टीवी’ एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय इस्लामिक चैनल है। इसके साथ ही नाइक ने आपत्तिजनक कार्यक्रम बनाने के लिए आईआरएफ के विदेशी चंदे ‘पीस टीवी’ को दिए थे। भारत में तैयार किए गए इन ज्यादातर कार्यक्रमों में नाइक के कथित नफरत भरे उपदेश थे, जिसमें ‘पीस टीवी’ के जरिए सभी मुस्लिमों से आतंकवादी बनने की अपील की गई थी। हालांकि सरकार जाकिर के एनजीओ की विदेशी फंडिग पर पहले ही रोक लगा चुकी है।
