సంచలనం సృష్టించిన మద్దెల చెర్వు సూరి హత్య కేసులో తుది తీర్పు వెలువడింది. ఈ కేసులో భానుకిరణ్‌కు నాంపల్లి కోర్టు యావజ్జీవ కారాగార శిక్ష విధించింది. రెండు కేసుల్లో మరో నిందితుడు మన్మోహన్‌సింగ్‌కు ఐదేళ్ల చొప్పున జైలు శిక్ష ఖరారు చేసింది. సూరి హత్య కేసులో మరో నలుగురిని నిర్దోషులుగా కోర్టు తేల్చింది. 2011 జనవరి 4న తన అనుచరుడు మల్లిశెట్టి భానుకిరణ్ చేతిలో సూరి హత్యకు గురయ్యాడు. సూరితోపాటు కారులో ప్రయాణిస్తున్న భానుకిరణ్ యూసఫ్‌గూడ ప్రాంతానికి వచ్చిన తర్వాత తనవద్ద ఉన్న దేశవాళీ తుపాకీతో కాల్చి చంపి పరారయ్యాడు. తెలుగుదేశం నాయకుడు పరిటాల రవి హత్యకేసులో ప్రధాన నిందితుడు సూరి తన అనుచరుడి చేతిలోనే హతమవ్వడం అప్పట్లో సంచలనం సృష్టించింది. కేసు దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టిన సీఐడీ 2012 ఏప్రిల్‌ 21వ తేదీన జహీరాబాద్‌ వద్ద ఒక దాబాలో భానుకిరణ్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసింది. సూరిని హత్య చేసిన తర్వాత మధ్యప్రదేశ్‌ పారిపోయిన భానుకిరణ్ సియోని ప్రాంతంలో తలదాచుకున్నాడు. అతని నుంచి తుపాకీ, మూడు సెల్‌ఫోన్లు, బ్యాంకు ఏటీఎం కార్డులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. అప్పటి నుంచి భాను జైల్లోనే ఉన్నాడు. బెయిల్‌ కోసం ప్రయత్నించినప్పటికీ ఫలించలేదు. నాంపల్లిలోని సీఐడీ న్యాయస్థానం విచారణ జరిపి నేడు తుదితీర్పు వెలువరించింది. భానుకిరణ్ కు యావజ్జీవ కారాగార శిక్ష విధించింది.

31 പേരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും 63 പേരെ വെറുതേ വിടുകയും ചെയ്ത പ്രത്യേക കോടതിയുടെ വിധിക്കെതിരെയുള്ള അപ്പീലുകളിന്മേലാണു ഗുജറാത്ത് ഹൈക്കോടതി കോടതി വിധി പറഞ്ഞത്.
