All eyes will be on Apple [NASDAQ: AAPL] for the next month. The long awaited and ridiculously anticipated iPhone 5 release is upon us. While Apple has yet to confirm this, according to a report in TechCrunch, Verizon is having an all-staff vacation blackout from Friday, September 21 to Friday, September 30. An AT&T representative has also confirmed that employees are not allowed to take time off between September 21 and September 30 as well. In the past these vacation blackouts have aligned with the release of new Apple iPhones. Expect to see the iPhone 5 in stores on September 21st, 2012.

If the rumors are true, Apple will be holding a major mobile event on September 12th to announce the iPhone 5. This goes hand in hand with the above report of the iPhone 5 release date being on September 21st. With less then two weeks to go, expect Apple to announce something as early as this week.
