Today Google presents a Doodle for London 2012 Artistic Gymnastics Men´s Rings

It's the fifth day of the London Olympics and Google has come up with yet another Doodle to celebrate this sporting fiesta. Only this time, it doesn’t have a female athlete.
Yes, the latest doodle is dedicated to Rings Gymnastics, a discipline only for men as it requires tremendous strength. It is the first doodle of the London 2012 with a man.
The artistic gymnastic medal event was scheduled for Monday and it was defending champions China who won the gold medal. Earlier, Great Britain finished second and took Silver while Ukraine finished with the bronze medal.
However, Japan was later given the silver medal after a judges' inquiry dropped hosts Great Britain from second to third and denied Ukraine a medal.
A fall from superstar Kohei Uchimura on the pommel horse initially saw Japan finish fourth, but they appealed against his score and the judges accepted the appeal, giving Japan silver and leaving Ukraine empty-handed.
The last four Google doodles were on the opening ceremony, archery, diving and fencing.

Continuing its support to London Olympics 2012, Google on Tuesday dedicated a fascinating doodle depicting the sport artistic Gymnastics Men's Rings. The London 2012 Artistic Gymnastics Men's Rings doodle displays a mustachioed gymnast holding the ring grips trying to balance himself in the air.
The London 2012 Artistic Gymnastics Men's Rings doodle is artistically designed in which the two ring grips represent the two alphabet letters 'O' of the Google logo.
It is the fourth Google doodle of this Olympics.
The two rings are artistic gymnastics apparatus and are typically used by male gymnasts only because of the requirement of intense upper-body strength.
This sport is extensively popular as the gymnasts perform their skills in a rhythmic fashion.

Google has dedicated its latest doodle to the Artistic Gymnastics Men's Ring on the fourth day of the London Olympics 2012 which also followed the British team winning a medal in the category, the first in a century.
Team GB's Louis Smith, Max Whitlock, Daniel Purvis, Sam Oldham and Kristian Thomas have won the bronze medal in the gymnastics team event held on 30 July. The team was in the second position after the final round but an appeal from the Japanese team pushed them to the third position.
The last time a British team won a medal in team gymnastics - bronze - was in Stockholm 1912.
'For us, this is a dream come true. To get a bronze medal is a miracle. Silver, bronze, it doesn't matter. We have the bronze medal on our necks, who cares about silver? We set out to come top six or top five; to enjoy ourselves. To get a medal was unbelievable,' team captain Louis Smith said.
The graphic image on the Google's home page depicts a male mustachioed gymnast performing on two rings which is made of the two Os in the Google logo. It also shows a cheering crowd in the background.
