Lakshmi Vilas Bank on Wednesday said the Reserve Bank of India has rejected the proposed merger between the lender and Indiabulls Housing FinanceNSE 2.37 %.“RBI vide their letter dated October 09, informed that the application for voluntary amalgamation of lndiabulls Housing Finance and lndiabulls Commercial Credit Limited with Lakshmi Vilas Bank Limited cannot be approved,” the bank said in a regulatory filing.
