    हमीरपुर में स्कब्र टाइफस के मामलों में बेहताषा बढोतरी हो रही है और पिछले कुछ दिनों से ही स्क्रब्र टाइफस के हमीरपुर जिला में 42 मामले सामने आए है।तो मलेरिया ने पांव पसारते हुए 12 मरीजों को जकड लिया है। जिनका अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा है। बरसात के मौसम में पनप रही बीमारियों के चलते ही स्वास्थ्य विभाग भी सकते में आ गया है और पूरी तरह से सक्रिय होकर स्कब्र टाइफस से निपटने के लिए तैयार हो गया है।

    Scrub typhus has gripped Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Maximum cases of scrub typhus have been reported in Sadar block in the district. The treatment of scrub typhus is also being provided by the health department to the people at the primary health center and community health center level. For the last two days, patients have arrived at the regional hospital for treatment of scrub typhus. So far 90 cases have come in the district. There are total 59 scrub typhus cases under Sadar block. In this, five patients have been found from Bilaspur city itself. At the same time, apart from this, 14 cases have been reported in Jhanduta block, six in Ghumarwin. Patients suffering from this disease have been found in Swarghat area.

    डेंगू और चिकनगुनिया से मिलती जुलती एक और बीमारी हिमाचल प्रदेश में सामने आई है। इस नई बीमारी का नाम स्क्रब टाइफस (Scrub Typhus) इस बीमारी से अबतक 24 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है और करीब सरकारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक 855 से ज्यादा लोग इसकी चपेट में है। इसके लक्षण एकदम डेंगू और चिकनगुनिया की तरह हैं और इसी के चलते लोगों में आमतौर पर इसका पता लगाना और भी मुश्किल हो जाता है। दिल्ली के AIIMS में भी इस बीमारी से जूझ रहे 30 से ज्यादा मरीज़ इलाज करा रहे हैं। आपको बता दे कि हिमाचल एक ऐसा स्थानिक क्षेत्र है जहां स्क्रब वनस्पति प्रचुर मात्रा में पाई जाती है। यह बीमारी घास में मौजूद पिस्सुओं के काटने से होती है और देखभाल न किए जाने पर इससे मौत भी हो सकती है। यह बीमारी स्क्रब टाइफस घास में मौजूद एक विशेष प्रकार के पिस्सू की वजह से होता है। इस पिस्सू के काटने से उसकी लार में मौजूद एक बेहद खतरनाक बैक्टीरिया रिक्टशिया सुसुगामुशी मनुष्य के रक्त में फैल जाता है। इसके काटने से डेंगू की तरह प्लेटलेट्स की संख्या घटने लगती है। ये खुद तो संक्रामक नहीं है लेकिन इसकी वजह से शरीर के कई अंगों में संक्रमण फैलने लगता है। इसकी वजह से लिवर, दिमाग व फेफड़ों में कई तरह के संक्रमण होने लगते हैं और मरीज मल्टी ऑर्गन डिसऑर्डर के स्टेज में पहुंच जाता है। ये पिस्सू पहाड़ी इलाके, जंगल और खेतों के आस-पास ज्यादा पाए जाते हैं। इस पिस्सू के काटने से पहले तेज़ बुखार चढ़ता है। इसके साथ ही सिरदर्द, खांसी, मांसपेशियों में दर्द और शरीर में कमजोरी भी आने लगती है। पिस्सू के काटने वाली जगह पर फफोलेनुमा काली पपड़ी जैसा निशान दिखता है।
