The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided the residence of Bulandshahr District Magistrate (DM) Abhay Kumar Singh, in connection with sand mining scam in Uttar Pradesh.

Similar raids were conducted simultaneously at six other places in the state, including Lucknow, Fatehpur, Azamgarh, Allahabad, Noida, Gorakhpur and Deoria.

As per media reports, a large sum of cash and a note counting machine were also recovered from DM Abhay Kumar Singh’s residence.
