During the launch, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, said that the Toll Free number will help the Defence community to get their complaints registered and answered timely, at the convenience of their home. This would serve as a common platform to register grievances related to any Department of the Chandigarh Administration, which would be forward to the concerned department by the Zila Sainik Office. The Adviser to the Administrator, further added that this is one-of-a-kind step taken by the Zila Sainik Welfare Board to timely and conveniently address all issues of serving and retired soldiers. Depending upon the performance and feedback of this service, the Board would further add to it and extend multiple lines. Adding to this, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS also shared that the process of creating a Toll-Free number for public is already in progress and would be launched soon by the Chandigarh Administration for registering any kind of complaints related to all the departments of the Chandigarh Administration.
