The much talked-about reunion between Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown was witnessed by millions last night at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The former couple shared some serious PDA after Rihanna won the Video of the Year award for her hit song, “We Found Love,” US Weekly reports. The 24-year-old songstress and 23-year-old rapper shared a kiss and a hug on stage, with audience members looking on in surprise, before returning to their seats.
Brown and Rihanna’s toxic relationship remained a topic of dissent after a judge had her restraining order lifted in February 2011. The order was placed in effect after Brown physically beat her in February 2009. The “S&M” singer appeared in public with a black eye from the altercation.

Rihanna described the altercation, which took place after she saw text messages from another woman, to Diane Sawyer at the time explaining, “He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him. It was almost as if he had nothing to lose. He had so much to lose. But it was almost as if he had nothing to lose. It wasn't the same person that says I loved you. It definitely wasn't those eyes.'

Last month, Rihanna bared her heart to Oprah Winfrey, when she admitted to the talk-show monguel that she still loved Chris and felt that she lost on of her 'best friends.'.
