Headline equity indices Sensex and Nifty registered negative opening on Tuesday in the wake of weak global cues as investors remain anxious to see what transpires at US-China trade talks later this week. The 30-share BSE index was trading 119.80 points, or 0.31 per cent, lower at 39,003.16 at 0918 hours. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty was quoting 36.45 points, or 0.31 per cent, down at 11,663.10.
