The BSE benchmark Sensex plunged over 300 points in opening trade on Thursday amid subdued global cues. Likewise, the NSE gauge Nifty too dropped over 85 points to slip below the psychological 11,300-level. At 9.18 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 38,004.68, lower by 300.73 points or 0.80 per cent from the previous close of 38,305.41 points. It has touched an intra-day high of 38,873.12 and a low of 38,584.18 points. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,274.80 points, lower by 85.10 points or 0.75 per cent from its previous close.
