Apple had made a big announcement about the new iPhone 5, including a simplified iTunes and new iPods! We'll fill you in on all the details. I'm Misty Kingma, you're tuning into ClevverMusic. On September 12th, Apple officially announced a new iPhone 5 has been added to the iPhone family. The phone will be available for pre-order September 14th, and is made entirely out of glass and aluminum. It's also the thinnest phone they've ever made, which comes with tons of new features. But news included in the big announcement that we're most excited about here at ClevverMusic are the iTunes and iPod reveals!

First, the big overhaul for iTunes features a simpler design, featuring big icons and album art to make it more of a media-browsing interface. There's also a new mini player that will let users move the app out of their face but still have it floating on a part of their desktop, and the new iTunes also includes iCloud integration. During the announcement Apple CEO Tim Cook said, 'Music is deeply embedded into our DNA' he continued, 'This is the reason we created iPod and iTunes, and these products have gone on to revolutionize the music industry.' If you didn't know, iTunes now has 26 million songs, and over 20 billion songs have been purchased over the last 9 years. The new iTunes changes will start to be seen September 19th initially with iOS 6.
