Police are worried Amanda Bynes may kill herself or other people after being caught driving while smoking what is suspected to be drugs.

Several patrol officers are allegedly now on alert because they fear her driving habits could be deadly. Law officers - who don't want to be named - reportedly spoke out after her two alleged hit-and-run accidents and website TMZ.com published photos of her committing the most recent act.

One said, 'She's on the same road as my wife and kids and I'm scared about getting a call in the middle of the night that my little one is dead.

'She's addicted to something and she's driving a deadly weapon and is going to kill someone. It scares the s**t out of me.'

Amanda was apparently driving around on Tuesday while puffing out of what appeared to be a marijuana pipe in Los Angeles on a suspended license.

Another said, 'The public should be afraid of her. From looking at the photos, and what she's smoking, she has no sense of reality.If she's not stopped she's gonna kill someone.' Amanda started her journey in California's San Fernando Valley area, where she smoked from the pipe in a restaurant car park and ate tacos.
