Speaking on the sidelines of an event, Rawat said, 'Everybody does a precautionary deployment, we should not get too concerned about it. As far as the Army and other services are concerned, we have to be always prepared.'

आतंकी बुरहान वानी के एनकाउंटर के बाद कश्मीर घाटी में हिंसा और अशांति का मौहाल कायम है। ऐसे में धधकते कश्मीकर को संभालने के लिए 12 साल बाद घाटी के भीतरी इलाकों में BSF को तैनात किया है। एक तरफ जहां बड़गाम, अनंतनाग और शोपियां और सोपोर में पथराव की घटनाएं हुई हैं तो वहीं अब केंद्र सरकार ने कश्मीर में शांति बहाली के लिए BSF यानी सीमा सुरक्षा बल के 2600 जवानों की तैनाती कर दी है। 2004 के बाद ऐसा पहली बार हुआ है कि घाटी के भीतरी इलाकों में BSF की तैनाती की गई है। श्रीनगर के लाल चौक सहित घाटी के कई इलाकों में बीएसएफ ने मोर्चा संभाल लिया है। हालात इतने गंभीर हैं कि पिछले डेढ़ महीने से किसी भी मंत्री, विधायक या अन्य बड़े नेता ने कोई रैली नहीं की है। आपको बता दें कि बुरहान की मौत के बाद कश्मीर में भड़की हिंसा में अबतक 70 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है और सैकड़ों लोग घायल है। BSF ने 1991 से 2004 तक कश्मीर में आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियान चलाया था। हालाकि जम्मू-कश्मीर के कई इलाकों से कर्फ्यू हटा लिया गया है और हालात में सुधार को देखते हुए लोगों को आवाजाही की इजाजत दी जा रही है।
जम्मू कश्मीर के स्थानीय लोगों के मन में बीएसएफ के लिए एक आक्रामक और क्रूर बल की छवी है तो वही दूसरी ओर अलगाववादियों ने घाटी में अपने विरोध प्रदर्शन को बढ़ा दिया है। ऐसे में देखना बाकी है कि घाटी में फैली हिंसा को शातिं में तब्दील करने में BSF के जवान कितनी जल्दी कामयाब हो पाते हैं।
