पाकिस्तान में 3 जनवरी को सैकड़ाें कट्टरपंथियों ने सिखों के पवित्र धर्मस्थल ननकाना साहिब गुरुद्वारे का घेराव कर जमकर पत्थरबाजी की। इस दौरान उन्होंने कई लोगों को गुरुद्वारे में बंधक बना कर रखा था। सिख विरोधी नारेबाजी भी की गई। भारत सरकार की ओर से नाराजगी जाहिर करने के बाद ही पाकिस्तानी सरकार ने हस्तक्षेप किया। हालांकि हिंसा भड़काने वालों पर तुरंत कार्यवाही के बजाए इमरान सरकार के अफसरों ने उनसे समझौता कर उनको शांत करवाया। इस घटना के बाद से पाकिस्तान ही नहीं भारत में भी सिख समुदाय काफ़ी गुस्से में है। इसी घटना को लेकर मशहूर गायक सुखविंदर सिंह ने भी एक वीडियो के ज़रिए अपनी नाराज़गी जाहिर की।

सैकड़ाें कट्टरपंथी मुसलमानों ने सिखों के पवित्र धर्मस्थल ननकाना साहिब गुरुद्वारे का घेराव कर वहां जम कर पत्थरबाजी की । इस दौरान उन्होंने 35 सिखों को गुरुद्वारे में बंधक भी बना कर रखा। भारत सरकार की तरफ से नाराजगी जाहिर करने के बाद ही पाकिस्तानी सरकार ने हस्तक्षेप किया। इन सब के बीच कांग्रेस नेता ओर पूर्व क्रिकेटर नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू सोशल मीडिया पर जमकर ट्रोल हो रहे हैं। ट्विटर यूजर्स का कहना है कि अब क्यों नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू खामोश हैं, अब क्यों नहीं वह पाकिस्तान और पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान पर अपनी राय दे रहे हैं। पिछले कुछ महीनों से नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू सोशल मीडिया और मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया से दूरी बनाए हुए हैं।
