ശാപത്തിന്റെയും അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെയും കഥ പറയാത്ത ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രവും നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്ത് കാണാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ല. അത്തരത്തില്‍ ആരെയും പേടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ കിരാഡു ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലേത്. രാജസ്ഥാനില്‍ താര്‍ മരുഭൂമിക്ക് നടുവിലായാണ് കിരാഡു ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. രാത്രികാലങ്ങളില്‍ ആളുകള്‍ എത്താന്‍ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണിവിടം.ബര്‍മെര്‍ ജില്ലയിലാണ് പാതി നശിച്ച നിലയില്‍ അഞ്ച് ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങള്‍ കാണാന്‍ സാധിക്കുക. അഞ്ചെണ്ണത്തില്‍ സേമോശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം എന്ന ശിവക്ഷേത്രം മാത്രമാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.
ത്രം അന്വേഷിച്ച് ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നവര്‍ കുറവല്ല എങ്കിലും രാത്രി കാലങ്ങളില്‍ ഇവിടെ താമസിക്കാന്‍ ആരും ധൈര്യപ്പെടാറില്ല. രാത്രിയില്‍ ഇവിടെ കഴിയുന്നവര്‍ കല്ലായി മാറുമെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം. ഒരിക്കല്‍ ഇവിടം ഭരിച്ചിരുന്ന പാര്‍മര്‍ രാജവംശത്തിലെ സോമേശ്വര രാജാവ് തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഐശ്വര്യത്തിനുമായി ഒരു സന്യാസിയെ രാജ്യത്തേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. രാജ്യം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശ്രമഫലമായി നല്ല രീതിയിലായപ്പോള്‍ അസുഖബാധിതനായ സന്യാസിയെ എല്ലാവരും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. മനുഷ്യത്വമില്ലാത്ത ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ലാതായി പോകട്ടെ എന്നു സന്യാസി ശപിച്ചുവത്രെ..ആരെയും ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ കൊത്തുപണികളും ശില്പങ്ങളും ഇവിടെ കാണുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കും. രാമായണ കഥകളും അപ്സരസ്സുകളുടെയും വ്യാളികളുടെയും രൂപങ്ങളും ഇവിടെ കാണാം.
