എല്ലാ ശരീര സ്പര്‍ശനങ്ങളും, ലൈംഗിക പീഡനങ്ങളായി കണക്കാക്കാനാകില്ലെന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹി ഹൈക്കോടതി. സെന്‍ട്രല്‍ റോഡ് റിസര്‍ച്ച് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിലെ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞയുടെ പരാതിയിലാണ് ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടെ ഈ സുപ്രധാന നിരീക്ഷണം. മുന്‍ മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്റെ പേരിലായായിരുന്നു അവര്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കിയിരുന്നത്. ലബോറട്ടറിയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്ന പരാതിക്കാരിയുടെ കൈയില്‍നിന്ന് മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ സാംപിളുകള്‍ തട്ടിപ്പറിച്ചുവാങ്ങി നിലത്തെറിയുകയും മുറിക്കു പുറത്തേക്ക് തള്ളിവിടുകയും ചെയ്തുവെന്നാണ് ആരോപണം. സ്വീകാര്യമല്ലാത്ത രീതിയില്‍ ശരീരത്ത് സ്പര്‍ശിച്ചത് ലൈംഗിക പീഡനമാണെന്നാണ് പരാതിക്കാരിയുടെ വാദം.
എന്നാല്‍ സംഭവത്തില്‍ ലൈംഗികപീഡനമില്ലെന്നും എന്നാല്‍ മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്റെ നടപടി ദൗര്‍ഭാഗ്യകരമാണെന്നുമാണ് ഇക്കാര്യം അന്വേഷിച്ച പരാതി കമ്മിറ്റി വിലയിരുത്തിയത്.
