ആവനാഴില്‍ അമ്പുകള്‍ ബാക്കിവെച്ച്....ഐ.വി
പ്രമുഖ സംവിധായകന്‍ ഐ.വി ശശി(69) അന്തരിച്ചു
ചെന്നൈയില്‍ വച്ചായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം.കോഴിക്കോട് വെസ്റ്റ് ഹില്‍ സ്വദേശിയാണ് ഇരുപ്പം വീട് ശശിധരന്‍ എന്ന ഐവി ശശി.1968ല്‍ മദ്രാസ് സ്‌കൂള് ഓഫ് ആര്‍ട്‌സില് നിന്ന് ചിത്രകല പഠിച്ചു തുടര്‍ന്ന് സിനിമയിലേക്ക്. 1968ല്‍ എബി രാജ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് കളിയല്ല കല്യാണത്തിലൂടെ സിനിമയിലേക്ക്.1975ല്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ സൂപ്പര്‍ഹിറ്റ് ചിത്രം ഉത്സവം ആദ്യമായി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചിത്രം.അവളുടെ രാവുകള്‍ എന്ന ചിത്രം ഐവി ശശിയെ മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ തന്നെ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. ഈ സിനിമയില്‍ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ച സീമ പിന്നീട് ഐവി ശശിയുടെ ജീവിത സഖിയും ആയി.മമ്മൂട്ടി എന്ന സൂപ്പര്‍ താരത്തെ മലയാളികള്‍ക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചത് എവി ശശി ആണെന്ന് പറയാം.നൂറ്റി അമ്പതിലധികം സിനിമകള്‍ ഐവി ശശി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2009 ല്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ വെള്ളത്തൂവല്‍ ആയിരുന്നു അവസാന സിനിമ.മലയാളത്തിന് പുറമെ തമിഴ് ഹിന്ദി സിനിമകളും അദ്ദേഹത്തില്‍ നിന്ന പിറന്നു.
