ലോകത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷകന്‍ എന്ന പെയിന്റിങ് 450 ദശലക്ഷം അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഡോളറാണ് (ഏകദേശം 2937 കോടിരൂപ) നേടിയത്.ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു കലാസൃഷ്ടി ലേലത്തില്‍ പോകുന്ന ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തുകയാണിത്.അഞ്ചൂറ് വര്‍ഷം പഴക്കമുള്ളതാണ് ഈ പെയിന്റിങ് എന്നാണ് വിലയിരുത്തുന്നത്. 400 ദശലക്ഷം ഡോളറിനാണ് ചിത്രം ലേലം ചെയ്തത്. ലേലത്തിനുള്ള ഫീസ് കൂടിച്ചേരുമ്പോള്‍ ഇത് 450 ദശലക്ഷമാകും.1505ല്‍ ആണ് ഡാവിഞ്ചി ഇതുവരച്ചതെന്ന് ചരിത്രകാരന്മാര്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. 1519ല്‍ ആണ് അദ്ദേഹം മരിക്കുന്നത്. അപൂര്‍വം ഡാവിഞ്ചി പെയിന്റിങ്ങുകളാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത്.
ഡാവിഞ്ചിയുടെ 20 പെയിന്റിങ്ങുകളില്‍ താഴെ മാത്രമേ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.വെറും 20 മിനിറ്റ് നീണ്ടുനിന്ന ലേലത്തിലെ വിജയി ടെലിഫോണിലൂടെയാണ് ചിത്രം വാങ്ങിയത്.ഒരു കൈ ഉയര്‍ത്തി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രൂപമാണ് പെയിന്റിങ്.
1958ല്‍ വെറും 60 ഡോളറിന് വിറ്റുപോയ പെയിന്റിങ് ആണിതെന്നതും ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക് ആസ്ഥാനമായ ക്രിസ്റ്റീസ് എന്ന സ്ഥാപനമാണ് ലേല നടപടികള്‍ സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.

A woman’s attempt to document her ride on the world’s tallest swing in Orlando took what she believed to be an unfortunate turn when she dropped her phone from the ride’s peak, 450 feet in the air.
What happened next, however, was likely even more memorable.
Instead of shattering to pieces, Cansel Yildirim’s iPhone 7-Plus survived the fall nearly unscathed, suffering only a scratch, Yildirim told WKMG Orlando.
'It is truly a miracle that nothing has happened to my phone as it didn’t break or crack at all,' Yildirim said.
While maintaining its shape, Yildirim’s phone captured the entire fall from the top of StarFlyer, which soars over International Drive in Orlando.
It appeared to flip for seconds until it hit the ground. It landed face up, capturing visuals of the swing and its eventual descent.
Yildirim, who was on the ride with her boyfriend, said her phone did not have a case on it when it fell. Upon making it back to the ground, she used the Find My iPhone app to locate it.
