ജനുവരി നാലിന് ഖുറാന്‍ ക്ലാസില്‍ പോയ സെയ്‌നബിനെ കാണാതായ ശേഷം ഒന്‍പതാം തീയ്യതി മാലിന്യ കൂമ്പാരത്തില്‍ നിന്നും കുട്ടിയുടെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് സൗദി അറേബ്യയിലായിരുന്ന മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ പാകിസ്ഥാനിലെത്തി. കൊലയാളിയെ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ശേഷമേ മകളുടെ മൃതദേഹം സംസ്‌കരിക്കൂവെന്ന മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ നിലപാടും മാധ്യമശ്രദ്ധനേടിയിരുന്നു.കസൂര്‍ പ്രദേശത്തെ ശിശുപീഡനങ്ങള്‍ മുന്‍പും ചര്‍ച്ചയായിരുന്നു.
