ഇന്തോനേഷ്യയിലെ വെസ്റ്റ് ജാവക്കാരനായ ആര്യ പെര്‍മനയ്ക്ക് 10 വയസില്‍ 190.5 കിലോയായിരുന്നു ഭാരം.കിടക്കയില്‍ നിന്നെഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കാന്‍ പോലും ആകാതെ പ്രയാസകരമായ ജീവിതം.പൊണ്ണത്തടികാരണം സ്‌കൂളില്‍ പോകാന്‍ പോലും കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല.ഒരു ഡറ്റീഷ്യന്റെ ഉപദേശപ്രകാരമണ് ആര്യ ചികിത്സയും ബാരാട്രിക് ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്കും വിധേയനാകുന്നത്.ഇതോടെ 76 കിലോയാണ് ഈ കുട്ടി ഭാരം കുറച്ചത്
12 കാരനായ ആര്യയ്ക്കിപ്പോള്‍ സ്‌കൂളില്‍ പോകാനും സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം കളിക്കാനും കഴിയുന്നു.ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ ബാഡ്മിന്റണ്‍ കളിയും രണ്ട് കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ദിവസേനയുള്ള ഓട്ടവും ആര്യയെ ശരീരഭാരം ക്രമീകരിക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.ഇനിയും ഒരു ശസ്ത്രക്രിയകൂടി ഇവന് ബാക്കിയുണ്ട്.
