Ben Stokes, the England all-rounder, has revealed that he, along with his teammates, underwent a massive weight loss during the fourth and final Test against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 29-year-old Stokes stated that playing in the 41-degree heat had taken a huge toll on the body of the English cricketers.

England went on to lose the four-match series 1-3, but Stokes lauded the Three Lions for trying their hearts out in tough conditions. He also praised the left-handed Rishabh Pant, who scored a match-winning century to put India in the driver’s seat in the fourth Test. The Brits lost the last Test by an innings and 25 runs.

As the world celebrated International women’s day on March 8, Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also decided to take a step forward towards the upliftment of women’s cricket in the country. India’s women cricket team is all set to feature in a Test match after a long wait of over six years.

It is learned that India will lock horns against the England team in a single Test match later this year. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the BCCI are keen on hosting the game around June 2021, almost at the same time when India’s men’s team will be up against New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship.
