देश में कोरोनावायरस महामारी की दूसरी लहर के बीच टीकाकरण का अभियान जारी है। जानकारी के मुताबिक भारत में 12 करोड़ से ज्यादा लोगों को वैक्सीन का कम से कम एक डोज़ दिया जा चुका है। देश में इस टीकाकरण अभियान के बीच सवाल ये उठ रहे हैं कि क्या मौजूदा वैक्सीन कोरोनावायरस के नए वेरिएंट्स पर भी प्रभावी होगी? इन आशंकाओं के बीच इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ मेडिकल रीसर्च यानि आईसीएमआर ने बड़ा दावा कर दिया है। आईसीएमआर ने एक रिसर्च के बाद बताया है कि COVAXIN कोरोनावायरस के कई वेरिएंट को बेअसर करती है और डबल म्यूटेंट वाले वायरस के खिलाफ भी काफी प्रभावी है। बता दें कि भारत बायोटेक की कोवैक्सीन को भारत और कई अन्य देशों में Covid-19 के खिलाफ इमरजेंसी इस्तेमाल की मंजूरी दी जा चुकी है।

Covid-19 News Update: इंडियन कौंसिल ऑफ़ मेडिकल रिसर्च यानी ICMR की स्टडी भी सामने आ चुकी है जिसमें कोविशील्ड और कोवैक्सीन के मिक्स्ड डोज़ को लेकर पॉजिटिव रिजल्ट दिखे हैं। इस स्टडी में 98 लोगों को शामिल किया गया था। इनमें से 40 लोगों को कोविशील्ड की दोनों डोज और 40 लोगों को कोवैक्सीन की ही दोनों डोज दी गई थी। 18 लोग ऐसे थे जिन्हें पहली डोज कोविशील्ड और दूसरी डोज कोवैक्सीन की लगाई गई। इस स्टडी में उत्तर प्रदेश के वे 16 लोग भी शामिल थे जिन्हे वैक्सीन का मिक्स्ड डोज़ दिया गया था। ICMR की स्टडी में पाया गया है कि पहली डोज कोविशील्ड और दूसरी डोज कोवैक्सीन की देने पर वायरस के खिलाफ बेहतर इम्युनिटी देखी गई है।
