સુરતના ઘોડદોડ રોડ કેનાલ વિસ્તારમાં એક એવી દિવાલ છે જેને પુણ્યની દિવસ તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. તો ચાલો જોઈએ કે આ દિવાલનું નામ પુણ્યની દિવાલ કેવી રીતે પડ્યું. વાસ્તવમાં આ દિવાલ ખાસ ગરીબ લોકોની સહાય માટે બનાવવામાં આવી છે. આ દિવાલ પર લખવામાં આવ્યું છે કે 'અધિક હે વો રખ જાએ, જરૂરત મંદ લે જાએ.' આ કારણે શહેરના લોકો પોતાની પાસે જે કંઈ વધારાનું હોય અને કોઈ જરૂરિયાતમંદ વ્યક્તિને એ આપવા માગતા હોય તેઓ આ દિવાલ પાસે મૂકી જાય છે અને જે વ્યક્તિને તેની જરૂર હોય તે અહીંથી એ વસ્તુ લઈ જાય છે. મોટા ભાગે લોકો અહીં કપડાં, બાળકોના રમકડા અને ચોપડા મૂકી જાય છે. આમ જરૂરીયાતમંદ લોકો માટે મસીહારૂપ છે આ નેકી કી દિવાલ.
આ દિવાલ SCL સંસ્થાના દ્વારા બનાવવામાં આવી છે. જેનો હેતુ સમાજમાં એકતા લાવવાનો અને જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોની મદદ કરવાનો છે. આ કાર્યથી લોકો ગુપ્ત રીતે દાન પણ કરી શકશે અને જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકો પોતાની જરૂરિયાતની વસ્તુ સંકોચ વગર મેળવી શકશે. આ દિવાલ સુરત શહેરના ઘોડદોડ રોડ કેનાલ વિસ્તારમાં આવેલા સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદ ગાર્ડન પાસે બનાવામાં આવી છે..

About ASHI, Haryana:
Association for Social Health in India (ASHI) is a Voluntary and Social Organization aiming at challenging those conditions that lead to exploitation of women and children for anti-social purposes by providing shelter for Destitute & Orphan children and arranging for their education, vocational training and rehabilitation are one of the Association’s main activities. The Governor of Haryana, their Chief Patron, visits the Home once a year to encourage and bless the children.
