स्टोरी.... दिल्ली के किंग्सवे कैम्प पर स्थित महाऋषि वाल्मीकि संक्रामक रोग अस्पताल में गले के ( डिप्थीरिया ) रोग से पीड़ित कई बच्चे इलाज कराने के लिए अपनेेेे परिजनों के साथ आए हुए हैं । यहां पर इनका इलाज़ चलते हुए करीब एक से दस दिन हो गए है । पिछले पंद्रह दिनों में इलाज़ के दौरान 12 बच्चों की मौत भी इसी बीमारी की वजह से हुई है । परिजनों का कहना है कि अस्पताल में बच्चोंं का इलाज तो हो रहा है लेकिन डिप्थीरिया जैसी घातक बीमारी की वजह से लगातार होने वाली मौतें रुक नहींं रही है ।
लेकिन लोगों ने खुलकर ये भी माना है कि इस बीमारी की वजह हमारी अज्ञानता ओर अनपढ़ता है । जिसकी वजह से आज हम खामियाजा भुगत रहे है । यदि समय पर हमने टीकाकरण कराया होता तो बच्चों की जान बच सकती थी । सात ही ऐसी नोबत भी नही आती । ये सभी लोग दिल्ली के बाहरी राज्यों से अपने बच्चो का इलाज कराने दिल्ली आए है । डिप्थीरिया जैसी घातक बीमारी के बारे में तो हमे दिल्ली आकर पता चला । जिसका इलाज बाजारी दवाईयों से काफी महंगा है । अब हमारे पास ज्यादा पैसे भी नही है ।अस्पताल के पास इस बीमारी की पर्याप्त दवाईयां नही है । शुरू में तो हम इसे गले की सामान्य सी बीमारी मानकर अपने आसपास के अस्पतालों में बच्चो का इलाज करवाते रहे । जब बच्चों को दिल्ली के लिए रेफर किया गया तो आनन-फानन में बच्चो को दिल्ली लेकर इलाज़ के लिए आये । दूसरे अस्पतालों में दिखाने के बाद पता चला कि किंग्सवे कैम्प में इस बीमारी के इलाज़ के लिए एक ही अस्पताल है ।
