തക്കാളിച്ചുവപ്പില്‍ സ്പെയിന്‍. വര്‍ഷാവര്‍ഷം നടക്കാറുള്ള ടൊമാറ്റോ ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കാന്‍ ഇത്തവണയും ആയിരക്കണക്കിനാളുകളാണ് സ്പെയിനില്‍ എത്തിയത്.
തക്കാളികള്‍ പരസ്പരം എറിഞ്ഞ് സ്പെയിന്‍ ജനത ഇത്തവണത്തെ ടൊമാറ്റോ ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍ ആഘോഷിച്ചു. .എല്ലാ വര്‍ഷവും ഇതിവിടെ പതിവാണ്. സ്പെയിനിലെ ബുനോല്‍ നഗരത്തില്‍ ബുധനാഴ്ചയായിരുന്നു പരിപാടി. 145 ടണ്‍ തക്കാളികളാണ് ഇത്തവണത്തെ ആഘോഷത്തിന് ചെലവായത്. ആറ് ട്രക്കുകളിലായാണ് ഈ തക്കാളികളെല്ലാം ഇങ്ങോട്ടെത്തിച്ചത്.ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി ഏകദേശം 45000ആളുകളാണ് തടിച്ചുകൂടിയത്. അതേസമയം 22000 പ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍ ഇത് ടിക്കറ്റ് വെച്ചുള്ള പരിപാടിയാണ്.1945 മുതല്‍ പ്രാദേശിക ഗ്രാമീണര്‍ ആഘോഷിച്ചുവരുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് ടൊമാറ്റോ ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍. തക്കാളികള്‍കൊണ്ട് പരസ്പരം എറിഞ്ഞുള്ള ആഘോഷമാണിത്. നേരത്തെ 1950കളില്‍ ഇതിനെ നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു. ജെനറല്‍ ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്കോ ഫ്രാങ്കോയുടെ സ്വേഛാധിപത്യ സമീപനമാണിതിന് പിന്നിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ പിന്നീട് വീണ്ടും ഈ ആഘോഷം പ്രസിദ്ധിയാര്‍ജിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
