Pool D leaders Malaysia took the lead 15 minutes in, Mohd Bin Hashim's dragflick, from a penalty corner.

'The last match of pool play between India and Korea was eagerly expected by the Indian fans and media. The local team absolutely needed to win to qualify for the quarter-finals, when a loss or even a draw would push Korea through.
India was immediately on the attack and forced a penalty-corner in the 3rd minute, but Lee Seyoung easily saved the low drag flick. Korea were equally unsuccessful on their first penalty-corner when You Seungju crashed his powerful drag-flick on the crossbar. The match was launched on a high tempo and the crowd was in for a thriller!
Korea had another penalty-corner opportunity but You Seungju was again a tad too high. He however managed to make the necessary adjustment and was on target in the 16th minute, silencing the crowd with a flick over the head of Sushant Tirkey in the Indian goal.
Atmosphere was hot in the stands and on the pitch and Korea picked up two yellow cards in the battle. They did not seem bothered by the situation and even created a good scoring chance while playing short two men. India saw many of their passes going astray and wasted another corner chance before Gurjinder Singh was finally on target on yet another penalty-corner three minutes from time.

It was Malaysia that got onto the score sheet first, with a well worked penalty corner converted by Muhammad Bin Saabah, 1-0 Malaysia.
New Zealand levelled the score soon after with a penalty corner of their own, a pacey drag flick into the roof of the net from Kane Russell.
Ashari Firhan came close to giving Malaysia the lead with a reverse stick shot, after a surging run, to only see his shot head into the side netting.
Ninety seconds into the second half, Malaysia took the lead against the run of play, Faiz Bin Jali's drive into the circle, finds Muhammad Bin Baharom unmarked at the far post to tap in.
Malaysia came close to widened the gap, Shazril Bin Nazli dive into the circle finds Mohamad Bin Mohd Yusof, his deathly touch forces a reaction save from keeper.
Russell got his second of the match from another penalty corner, with another superb drag flick into the corner, levelling the score 2-2.
With minutes left on the clock Malaysia took the lead yet again, from another penalty corner, the initial shot pushed onto the post, Ashari Firhan was fastest to the loose ball to squeezes it in at the near post, Malaysia went back in front for the third time.

Both teams had narrow wins on opening day and started the match cautiously, not wanting to risk falling behind early. Things started to heat up after ten minutes. South Africa bobbled their first penalty-corner but Matthew Brown made no mistake on the second one, slotting the ball high out of reach of Hafizuddin Othman in the Malaysian goal.
The Asian Champions reacted immediately and besieged the South African circle, calling keeper Rene De La Peyre into action left and right. He stood his ground well but was fooled by a deflection from his own defender on a free hit drilled into the circle in the 27th minute. Malaysia had multiple chances to take the lead in the final minutes of the period but South Africa were kept afloat by De La Peyre, in fine form tonight, and the break was reached on a tied score.
After another period of domination, Malaysia logically took the lead in the 43th minute by Firhan Ashari, turning around at the top of the circle and blasting the ball in the backboard.
Play was fast and entertaining and it was soon the turn of South Africa to be threatening, earning a penalty-corner after Ignatius Malgraff cut through the whole Malaysian defense. The corner was upgraded to a penalty-stroke but Matthew Brown's attempt was well guessed by the keeper, maintaining the narrow Malaysian lead.

'Day 6 of the Men Junior's Hockey World Cup in Delhi and its Quarter Final 2. Asian Champions Malaysia had been hugely impressive since the beginning of this Junior World Cup, and were pitted in this quarter-final against Asian rival Korea, who had shown strong character in their last pool match against India to come back from a 2-goal deficit and edge the local team out of contention.
First Half started slow for both teams as they found there feet into the game. Malaysia, wearing a brightly colours yellow top, struck first when a cross into the D was met by Shahril Saabah and Malaysia went 1-0 up. Malaysia kept up the momentum and could have added a second when GOVINDASAMY Kartik Govindasamy hit from outside the D hit off Shahril Saabah stick and hit the upright and was cleared out by LEE Mookyoung, keeping Korea in the game. However Korea struck back 6 minutes before half time when YOU Seungju scored from a Penalty Corner leveling the scores before the break.
Beginning of second period was somewhat messy, neither team wanting to give an inch and tempers flaring often. Malaysia had the territorial edge but could not capitalize on the opportunities they created and Korea where still keeping their heads above water going into the last ten minutes of the period.

The bronze medal game of the Men's Hero Hockey World Cup in India took place between Malaysia and the Netherlands with the Dutch comfortable 7-2 winners.
The Netherlands drew first blood in the 3rd minute when their captain Roel Bovendeert progressed along the back line, attempted a high shot and batted in goal the rebound from the goal-keeper.
The Dutch did not waste any time and added a second goal three minutes later from Thierry Brinkman. Malaysia responded with a penalty-corner and, with three goals in four minutes, the match was launched on a high note!
The Netherlands had another defensive scare but progressively took control of midfield, making the Malaysians run after their long and patient passes. They had a penalty-corner in the 18th minute, which was not scored directly, but Tom Hiebendaal managed to find the ball in the mad goalmouth scramble that ensued and push it in goal.
The Netherlands increased their lead in the 23rd minute by Milan Van Baal with a sweet deflection behind his back, his sixth goal of the competition. Thierry Brinkman soon scored his second of the match and, down 1-5 going into the break, the road ahead seemed rather steep for the young Malaysian team.

Great vision from Jackson saw him pick out Middleton outside the box with a lovely cross field ball, a clever reverse ball found Gleghorne deep inside the Malaysia box and a clever finish from the England player gave the goal keeper no chance. But with only a slender advantage England started looking a bit vulnerable to a goal that would cruelly deny them the win but with five minutes to go they made their dominance tell. A penalty corner set up Jackson on the edge of the box who sealed the win with a powerful effort into the roof of the net, putting England temporarily at the top of Group A.

'Day 5 of the Men Junior's Hockey World Cup in Delhi where we see Germany take on Egypt.
Germany needed a win to have a chance to advance to the quarter-finals and immediately got on the scoreboard when The Captain Mathias Muller (C) innocent looking cross into the D but deflected off Egyptian defender resulting in an own goal. Germany doubled their tally in the 19th minute by Niklas Bruns when the ball was crossed into the D by Christopher Ruhr, leaving the game at the break 2-0 to Germany, and Egypt failing to show any dominance on the game.
The Second Half started off with Germany controlling again and they managed to grab their 3rd goal when Henning Huttermann was quickly closed down by Wael Noureldin's (GK) but Huttermann managed to pass the ball into the path of Christopher Ruhr, who slotted the ball into the net and saw Germany lead 3-0. Germany carried on pressed and grabbed their 4th goal 18 minutes before full time when they were awarded a Penalty Corner. Taken by Mathias Muller, Christopher Ruhr dragflick was saved by Wael Noureldin's (GK) but his save went back into the path of Muller who touched the ball into the net.
Things got even worse for Egypt when Amr Raafat was deemed to have blocked the shot with his hand resulting in a Penalty Stroke for Germany, and it was easily converted into the net by Christopher Ruhr seeing Germany sail into a comfortable 5-0 lead. However Germany confirmed there

'Day 5 of the Men Junior's Hockey World Cup in Delhi and its Match 2 where we see Belgium v. Pakistan in this Pool A game. With final standings still very much in the air before this last game in the group, pace of play was immediately intense.
Pakistan seemed in a better frame of mind than in their initial matches and pushed Belgium back on their heels in the initial fifteen minutes of the match in the first half. Pakistan came close when Muhammad Irfan passed the ball to Muhammad Adnan in the D who managed to turn and get a clear shot on goal only to see it go wide of the mark. Belgium seemed to be quite content with keeping the game as a draw as a loss would see them face Australia in the Quarter-Finals. However minimal chances where created from both teams and at the break it was still even.
The Second Half started better when Pakistan finally overwhelmed the Belgian defense when Pakistan came close to scoring when Muhammad Irfan pass was met by both Muhammad Dilbar and Rizwan Ali who failed to captilise on the chance.
