After Amy Willerton fans turned on Lucy Pargeter for her sly digs aimed at the model, she is fast becoming the new favourite to get the first jungle boot.

For the moment David Emmanuel remains the bookies’ favourite to wave goodbye to his campmates first, but after last night’s showdown between the girls, William Hill have seen punters hedge their bets with Lucy.

The drama kicked off when campmates yet again laid into Amy for being lazy and not pulling her weight in camp. And when Lucy wouldn’t let the subject lie, Willerton fans started tweeting away in support of the Miss Universe contender. Lucy was notably picked to do the next bushtucker trial as well.

While Lucy’s odds were standing at 13/1, she now has odds of 11/2.

‘There has been a significant gamble on Lucy to be the first to go and it could prove an inspired bet,’ said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

David is still leading the race with odds of 2/1.

Meanwhile, Joey is still the firm favourite to win, with chances of 1/2. He is followed by Kian Egan at 7/2 and Steve Davis at 14/1.
