Well, it really happened! Amanda Bynes said she was going to go back to school and she really did it! Here's the deets on her first day at a fashion institute. The 27-year-old actress attended her first class at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, more commonly known as FIDM,  at the school's Orange County campus. A source tells E News:  'She was very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates.' That's good to hear. Amanda's pleasant manners have never been up for debate. She's even nice to paparazzi.  The source adds that Bynes was 'originally going to be a fashion design major but has now decided to pursue merchandise product development. She is enrolled part-time for the winter quarter.' Amanda is staying with her parents, and school is the first thing she's really done without them since being released from treatment.  At the time of her hospital exit , Bynes attorney told E!
