A Libyan military plane carrying doctors and patients has crashed in Tunisia, killing all 11 people on board, officials say.
The Antonov plane came down in a field near Grombalia, about 40km (25 miles) south of the capital, Tunis.
It was carrying three doctors, two patients and six crew, a Tunisian rescue worker said.
Correspondents say that Libyans often travel to Tunisia for medical treatment.
The crash is said to have resulted from engine failure.
'The whole plane was completely burnt out. The emergency services went to the crash site and recovered the charred bodies,' said emergency services spokesman Mongi El Kadhi.

A Russian military plane with 91 people on board has crashed into the Black Sea shortly after taking off, the Russian defence ministry said.
A rescue team found debris at the suspected crash site off the coast of the resort town of Sochi, Interfax news agency reported, citing an unidentified source, on Sunday.
Local news agencies reported that fragments of the Tu-154 plane were found 1.5 kilometres off the coast of Sochi at a depth of 50 to 70 metres.
Other news agencies reported that parts of the plane and undercarriage, and also an oil slick were found some six kilometers from the coast.
There was no word on possible survivors.The plane, which was on its way to Latakia in Syria, was carrying 81 passengers and 10 crew members, Interfax news agency reported.
The Tu-154 is a Soviet-designed three-engine airliner.
Al Jazeera's Natasha Ghoneim, reporting from Moscow, said the plane disappeared from radar only minutes after takeoff.
'Reports here in Moscow are saying that the passengers included journalists, military personel and members of the famous Alexandrov Ensemble, an official army choir of the Russian armed forces,' Ghoneim said.

इंडोनेशिया के पापुआ प्रांत में वायुसेना का एक विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया है। इस हादसे में विमान में सवार 3 पायलट्स समेत 13 लोगों की मौत हो गई है। बताया जा रहा है कि हादसा सुबह करीब 9 बजे उस वक्त हुआ जब हरक्यूलिस सी-130 विमान तिमिका से खाद्य आपूर्ति लेकर वामेना जा रहा था। इस दौरान वामेना पहुंचने से पहुले ही विमान लिसुवा पहाड़ में क्रैश हो गया। अधिकारियों की मानें तो विमान में 3 पायलट्स के अलावा 10 सैन्यकर्मी मौजूद थे जिनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई है। बचाव एजेंसी के ऑपरेशनल निदेशक इवान अहमद रिसकी के मुताबिक विमान के मलबे को खोज लिया गया है और मृतकों के शव को वामेना ले जाया जा रहा है। बहरहाल विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने के पीछे खराब मौसम पर आशंका जताई जा रही है।हालांकि इससे पहले साल 2015 में भी वायु सेना का एक विमान मेदान इसी तरह उड़ान भरने के बाद एक आवासीय इलाके में क्रैश हो गया था जिसमें विमान में सवार सभी यात्री हादसे में मारे गए थे।

रूस का लापता सैन्य विमान टीयू- 154 काला सागर में क्रैश हो गया है। इस हादसे में विमान में सवार 91 यात्रियों के मार जाने की आशंका जताई जा रही है। रूसी मीडिया की मानें तो सुबह करीब 5 बजकर 20 मिनट पर रूस के शहर सोचि से विमान टीयू—154 ने उड़ान भरी थी और 20 मिनट के बाद विमान राडार से गायब हो गया था जिसके बाद तलाशी अभियान में विमान का मलबा काले सागर में पाया गया है। विमान में सवार यात्रियों में 9 रूसी पत्रकारों के साथ कई कलाकार और सैनिक शामिल थे जो कि सीरिया में रूस के एयरबेस पर रूसी वायु सेना के साथ नए साल को मनाने के लिए जा रहे थे। हालांकि अधिकारीयों के मुताबिक चोकोवैस्की से ईधन भरवाने के कुछ ही मिनट बाद विमान राडार से गायब हो गया था और काले सागर के ऊपर से गुजरने के दौरान हादसे का शिकार हो गया। फिलहाल हादसे के पीछे तकनीकी खराबी बताई जा रही है क्योंकि उड़ान के लिए मौसम परिस्थितियां बिल्कुल अनुकूल थीं। लेकिन अधिकारिक तौर पर यह साफ नहीं हो पाया है कि यह हादसा किस वजह से हुआ है। आपको बता दें कि सेना के टीयू- 154 विमान में तीन इंजन हैं जिसका निर्माण रूसी एरोस्पेस और रक्षा मंत्रालय की कंपनी टुपोलेव ने किया है। यह सबसे तेज़ विमानों में से एक है जो कि पहाड़ी इलाकों के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।
