एक ओर जहाँ देश में बच्चे क्रिकेट या अन्य पॉपुलर गेम्स की तरफ आकर्षित होते हैं , वहीँ लवन्या आइस स्केटिंग को ही देश में पॉपुलर बनाना चाहती हैं। वो ऐसा कैसे करेंगी , ये लवन्या से ही सुन लीजिये।
हरियाणा के गुरुग्राम की रहने वाली लवन्या शैलोम हिल्स इंटरनेशनल स्कूल की स्टूडेंट हैं , और इनका कहना है की खेल के साथ साथ ये पढाई पर भी पूरा ध्यान देती हैं , और कभी स्कूल बंक नहीं करतीं।
आइस स्केटिंग को बढ़ावा देने के लिये लवन्या ने दिल्ली दर्पण के माध्यम से सरकार से भी अपील की है।
लवन्या की कोच लुबा , जो खुद रशिया में आइस स्केटर रह चुकी हैं , मानती हैं की लवन्या में काफी पोटेंशियल है , और अगर लवन्या जैसे यंग स्केटर्स को और बेहतर एक्सपोज़र और सुविधाएँ मिले तो वो इंटरनेशनल लेवल पर भी अपना टैलेंट साबित कर सकते हैं।
