(FSSAI) ഭേദഗതി വരുത്തുമ്പോള് ആവശ്യമെന്നു
നിര്ദ്ദേശിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള പ്രധാന മാറ്റങ്ങളില് ഒന്നാണിത്.
റിവ്യൂ ചെയ്ത കരട് നിർദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം FSS Act - Section 59
അനുസരിച്ച് ബോധപൂർവ്വം ഭക്ഷ്യ സാധനങ്ങളിൽ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കല്
നടത്തിയാല് വ്യക്തികൾക്കും ബിസിനസ്സുകാര്ക്കും 10 ലക്ഷം രൂപ
പിഴയും ജീവപര്യന്തം വരെ തടവും ലഭിക്കാവുന്ന കുറ്റവുമാണിത്.
ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്ക്ക് അപകടം ഉണ്ടായാലും ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും ശിക്ഷ ലഭിക്കും
എന്നതാണ് ഭേദഗതിയുടെ പ്രത്യേകത.

दूध में मिलावट करने वालों की अब खैर नहीं होगी...क्योंकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मिलावट की रोकथाम पर अहम फैसला सुनाया है...कोर्ट ने कहा है कि दूध में मिलावट की हालत चिंताजनक हैं और ऐसे में जरूरी है कि कानून में कड़े प्रावधान किये जाएं....कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार को निर्देश दिए है कि भारत सरकार फूड सेफ्टी एंड स्टैंडर्ड्स एक्ट 2006 में जरूरी बदलाव करे.. साथ ही कोर्ट ने इसे दंडनीय अपराध बनाने सहित उम्र कैद की सजा का समर्थन किया है...केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों की लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कई दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए हैं..सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि राज्य सरकारें डेयरी मालिक, डेयरी आपरेटरों और विक्रेताओं को सूचना दें कि अगर दूध में कीटनाशक और कास्टिक सोडा जैसे केमिकल पाए गए तो उनके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी. - राज्य में मिलावट संबंधी जानकारी और शिकायत के लिए वेबसाइट हो और टोल-फ्री नंबर भी बनाया जाए...आपको बता दें कि इससे पहले भी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 5 दिसंबर 2013 और 10 दिसंबर 2014 को इसी मामले की सुनवाई के दौरान अंतरिम आदेश जारी किए थे. केंद्र सरकार और राज्य सरकारों को मिलावटखोरी के लिए कानून को सख्त बनाने के लिए कहा था. उत्तर प्रदेश, ओडिशा, पश्चिम बंगाल और मध्य प्रदेश ने धारा 272 में बदलाव कर उम्रकैद तक की सजा का प्रावधान किया था.
